Community Outreach Seminars & Workshops
OGF-Europe delivers a series of Community Outreach Seminars targeting diverse scientific domains, sectors and issues that are important for Europe. The seminars aim to actively gather the people of OGF, OGF-Europe and user groups to build a consensus around key requirements. OGF-Europe supports a number of follow-on workshops in order to build on results of Community Outreach Seminars
- Identifying key themes of interest across domains, such as shared services; data/compute affinity; application virtualisation; system modelling and simulation; and leveraging e-science.
- Capturing use cases illustrating successful Grid adoption and showcase them via our website and Announcements.
- Fostering interactive discussions with the user community and potential adopters.
- Communicating outcomes in dedicated reports.
"I see OGF-Europe as a particularly important channel to broaden the discussion in Europe as a whole and bring Grid technologies to the attention of people in government, in major public sector organisations, and in private sector organisations that have not yet looked at Grid computing for their innovation."
-Ian Osborne, Intellect UK - OGF VP of Enterprise (Watch Video)
