The lofty chimneys of the Catania sulphur refineries, no longer used as industrial sites since the end of the Second World War, was restaured by the Catanian architect, Giacomo Leone. They are now a beautiful example of industrial archaeology, with its historical memory and its suggestive architecture, represent the economic, social and cultural development of the present. Facing the Mediterranean Sea provides an extrordinary backdrop for exhibitions, trades, congresses and many cultural events. Close to the Catania airport and at a walking distance from the Central Railway Station, “Le Ciminiere Congress Center” is equipped with all modern facilities and well served by all the public transport services.

From Catania Airport you can take a bus to the city center/Train station:
AMT "ALIBUS" nr. 457 every 20 minutes, from 5.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m.
Get off at the Main Train Station (Piazza Papa Giovanni XXIII) and take Viale Africa where you’ll find “Le Ciminiere Convention Center” on the right.

By Train
If you get to Catania by train, “Le Ciminiere Convention Center” is just around the corner. From the Train Station (Piazza Papa Giovanni XXIII) turn right to Viale Africa and you’ll find Le Ciminiere Convention Center on the right.

Bus AMT (Local Transport Service)
From other parts of the town, you can reach “Le Ciminiere Convention Center” by bus nr. 401 and nr. 443 that go along Viale Africa, or any bus to the Train Station that is only few minutes walking from the Convention center.
