The first six months since the project kick-off (Feb 2008) have seen OGF-Europe active in a number of events & initiatives that have been supported by extensive outreach to the global community.

  • Presentation of OGF-Europe during the Welcome Keynote delivered by OGF President Craig Lee on Monday 25 February 2008. David Wallom, Oxford eResearch Centre represented OGF-Europe.
  • Promotional & Networking Activities.
  • Launch of student scholarship programme, led by PSNC. Four students attended OGF22, meeting members and luminaries from the Grid community.

  • OGF Address delivered by Steve Crumb, Executive Director of OGF.
  • Active participation at the session on Standards to map EC-funded projects' engagement with standardisation.
  • Networking with a large pool of representatives from new EC-funded projects under FP7.
